Biography

Sue is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Her therapeutic orientation includes elements of humanistic and interpersonal theories with a strong emphasis on Beck’s Cognitive Therapy approach. Her goal in therapy is for students to let go of old thought patterns that are no longer useful and to develop accurate, life affirming thoughts and beliefs that lead to happier, productive choices and behaviors. Over the past fifteen years, she has worked with college students in the roles of professor, trainer, and therapist at three other colleges before becoming the Director of Counseling Services at Berea College in October, 2002.
