Biography |
| Prior to arriving at Berea College, Josh worked as a therapist for a non-profit agency while earning his licensure as a Board Certified Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Kentucky. His therapeutic approach is heavily rooted with systemic principles, but he prefers to utilize a client-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy perspective. The result of this blend is that he believes that while the past has an influence on the lives of students, and provides a foundation for the development of both adaptive and maladaptive behaviors, that ultimately every student has the ability to succeed while learning to manage distress. |
