The Schedule of Classes indicates that a certain course will meet a Perspective Area, ALE, PR/PRQ, etc., requirement, but the Catalog & Student Handbook section covering the General Education Program does not list that course. Which is correct?
Both. The courses listed in the Catalog & Student Handbook under the General Education Program section are courses that will meet a particular General Education Program requirement regardless of which term the course is offered. However, some courses (Special Topics, seminar courses that change themes each time they are offered, many Active Learning Experience (ALE) courses including Service-Learning ones, courses offered only in Short Term, etc.) are only approved to meet a requirement in a specific term and must be reviewed again each time the course will be offered. Those are listed only in the Schedule of Classes (or in the Short Term Catalog, for Short Term courses).
