Minor in Philosophy

Requirements for the Minor

A minor in Philosophy is designed to complement a student’s interests and his or her study pursued in other disciplines. The minor requires a minimum of five (5) course credits, as follows:

Required Core Courses

One (1) logic course chosen from PHI 106 or 218; and one (1) history of philosophy course chosen from PHI 305, 310, or 315.

Required Distribution Courses

At least three (3) additional PHI courses, chosen in consultation with the Program, one of which must be above the 100 level.
