The Sustainability and Environmental Studies (SENS) minor is a multidisciplinary
program that examines environmental issues and their linkage to the basic
question underlying the concept of sustainability: How can present needs
be met, if at all, without compromising the ability to meet future needs?
Various dimensions of environmental and sustainability issues are explored
(e.g., economic, scientific, social, spiritual, aesthetic, ethical, political,
technological) with emphasis given to the nature and implications of the
interconnections among complex human and natural systems.
