Minor in Computer Science
The minor in Computer Science requires a minimum of five (5) courses, as follows:
Required Core Courses—CSC 226 and CSC 236
Required Distribution Courses—Three (3) additional CSC courses, chosen from CSC 125, 126, 303, 325, 330, 433, and 440
Additional Considerations for the Minor—In consultation with the course instructor, CSC 226 may be waived, but if waived, a minimum of five courses is still required for the Computer Science minor. An appropriate TEC, PHY, or other CSC course, including CSC courses offered in Short Term, may be substituted for one of these additional courses by successful petition to the Mathematics and Computer Science Department. Note that students who major in Computer and Information Science may not also complete the minor in Computer Science. Instead, such students are encouraged to consider the optional concentration in Computer Science (see above).
