Curricular Offerings

The Academic Programs section on pp. 50-197 of this Catalog details the twenty-one (21) departments and seven (7) programs that represent the College’s curricular offerings—the major and minor requirements, as well as current course offerings and descriptions. The Online Berea College Catalog Web site (www.berea.edu/catalog) is a companion to this
print version and is interactive, with links from degree requirements to the corresponding major Curriculum Guides, minor checklists, and course descriptions.

Students should consult the Catalog that was in place when they enrolled at Berea for the major or minor academic program descriptions they will follow. The Online Catalog presents the most recent Berea College Catalog intended for students entering in the 2007-2008 academic year. Archived electronic copies of each Catalog for 2003-2004, 2004-2005, 2005-2006, and 2006-2007 also are available with a link from the main Online Catalog page. Staff in the Office of Academic Services are available for consultation concerning these and earlier Catalogs.

The Office of Academic Services also publishes the online-only Short Term Catalog. This publication will be available at www.berea.edu/academicservices/shorttermcatalog at the end of October.

The Office of Academic Services maintains Curriculum Guides for each of the majors and Checklists for each of the minors listed in this and recent Catalogs. As additional options are approved by the Academic Program Council or the College Faculty, updates will be made to these guides. Please go to http://www.berea.edu/catalog and click on the "Curriculum Guides" link near the top right of the screen to find PDF versions of these guides. Print copies also are available at the Student Service Center, First Floor of Lincoln Hall.
