A major in Applied Science and Mathematics is achieved by completion of the following requirements, in addition to the General Education and electives required for a degree:
Required Core Courses—MAT 135, 225, 330, 437, PHY 315, 316, CHM 131, and 311
Required Capstone Course—One (1) course, which must be approved by the Dual Degree Engineering Adviser.
Under most circumstances, this will be an upper-level engineering course taken at an accredited engineering institution, but it also might be an appropriate Internship, or other approved capstone-level course.
Required Distribution Courses—Three (3) additional courses, chosen from ANR, BIO, CHM, CSC, MAT, PHY, SENS, or TEC, all of which will be applicable to a single engineering specialty and approved by the Dual Degree Engineering Adviser.
