About

BC Express is a college transportation service for Berea College Students sponsored by the Campus Life department. The BC Express travels to Berea and Richmond business to allow students to purchase personal items i.e. clothes, toiletries and food. Please sign up at the FRONT DESK of the Alumni building to ride. IDs will be checked before entering the BC Express.

Stops

• In front of Wal-Mart
• The middle of the parking lot of the plaza containing Goodwill, Hong Kong Buffet, and Dollar General.
• The front of Save-A-Lot

Schedule

• Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 5-9 p.m., running hourly

Guidelines

• Sign-up Sheets are located at the Front Desk Alumni Building. You must sign up to ride.
• Count on being picked up approximately one hour after you have been dropped off at the destination.
• Last drop off round is 8 pick up rounds are at 9.
• Please remember to bring your student id as you will not be granted entrance on the shuttle without it.

Saturday trips to the mall have been postponed until mid October when the completion of the new Richmond mall is expected.

Policies for Students

The B.C. Express assumes responsibility for those students who make use of it as a transportation service. It is our commitment to provide a safe and accommodating environment to students while driving to any destination.

1. There is to be no food or drink on the Shuttle while in transit.
2. Inappropriate behavior such as excessive usage of bad language, fighting, standing, being out of one’s seat while in motion, or causing any potential harm to others, is prohibited.
3. Any illegal or highly inappropriate behavior that occurs while students are within transit with the B.C Express Shuttle will be considered grounds for suspension with further details and notice.
4. We strictly enforce safety. While riding, we ask that students place their safety belts on, and place all items in a safe position during transit, whether on a seat, or on the shuttle floor. We are not responsible for damaged, lost, or neglected goods.
5. The B.C. Express has a round-trip policy, in which any student who signs up to ride with us must return by our shuttle. This is for the purpose of collecting student IDs, in order to maintain awareness of the students we have with us, and to provide security for those who use our service.

We ask any student who signs-up for our service to please read the notices posted at the front desk of the Alumni Building, the emails sent to the student mass, and the indications highlighted on each of the weekly sign-up sheets.
