Donna Morgan joined Brushy Fork in 1990. She assists with program planning, fundraising and administrative functions. She oversees the organization's communications work, including editing Mountain Promise, a quarterly publication on Appalachian issues. Donna also conducts workshops and works with grassroots leaders and community groups, both in the Brushy Fork Institute Leadership Development Program and for collaborative projects. She has 16 years of experience in leadership and community development and communications. Donna has also managed a web-based training and communications effort for Communities by Choice, a national network of communities committed to practicing sustainable development. She is a 1989 graduate of Berea College. Donna's volunteer activities include work with Girl Scouts, 4-H, school activities, the Prichard Committee’s Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership, the Estill Development Alliance, and community clean-up efforts.
