Register for Classes

Continuing students can register twice yearly at designated times (during late Fall and Spring terms). New students register initially during summer Registration and Orientation Weekends (ROWs). All students can make changes to their schedules according to the deadline dates listed in the Academic Calendar.
  1. Prepare a Desired Schedule: Using the print or online versions of the Schedule of Classes, prepare a desired schedule.

  2. Meet with your adviser to discuss schedule. You and your adviser are encouraged to complete an Advising Registration Agreement to record the decisions made during this session. Be sure to include several alternate courses in case you are unable to enroll in one or more desired sections.

  3. Obtain your Alternate PIN. Before this advising session ends, your adviser will provide your Alternate PIN (Personal Identification Number), which you will need in order to login to the secure area of BONd.

  4. Determine when you can register/Check for holds. Check the registration schedule in your Schedule of Classes booklet, or login to the secure area of BONd with your userID and PIN. Click on the “Student Services and Financial Aid” page, then “Registration.” Select "Check Your Registration Status." You will need your Personal Identification Number (PIN) to access this information, but do NOT need your Alternate PIN for this transaction. When you access this information, you also will be alerted to any holds you have in your student account. Students are encouraged as early as possible to contact the appropriate department to clear holds that will prevent them from registering on time.

  5. Register for classes. At or after the time you are eligible to register, go to https://inb-web.berea.edu. You will be required to login to the secure area of BONd using your Social Security Number and your PIN (NOT the Alternate PIN). Select a term, type in your Alternate PIN, and follow the prompts to sign up for classes. NOTE: Students will be registered directly by the Office of Academic Services for special study opportunities, such as Independent Study and Team-Initiated Study.

For technical instructions related to registration, please see Technical Registration Instructions. For login assistance, please see Login Help.

  6. Adding classes. Once you have registered initially for a term, you can return to BONd’s Registration page to add a class up to the last day to add a class, which is set by the Office of Academic Services (OAS). After that date, you must go to the Student Service Center to add. There is a $5 fee for each form processed after the last day to add a course. Classes may be added off-line up to one week after a regular term has started.

  7. Dropping classes. To drop a class after the initial drop/add period, you must come to the Student Service Center. There is a $5 fee for each form processed after the last day to add a course. Classes may be dropped up to two weeks after mid-term.

If at any time during the registration period you have questions related to these policies or procedures and are unable to find the answers on these pages, please call the Student Service Center at (859) 985-3094.
