Ms.
Tashia L. Bradley was born in Orlando, FL. She most recently
lived in Sarasota, FL were she has been very involved in
the Sarasota/Bradenton community through volunteer efforts
with Wings Academy Charter School, Y Achievers, Sarasota
County Branch NAACP Leadership Academy, and the Grassroots
Leadership Initiative. In addition Ms. Bradley has served
in various other professional capacities such as the Project
Director for the SUCCESS/PUSH Careers program, FSU Service
Learning Field Co-Coordinator, and currently as the Co-Director
of the Looking for Angola Project.
Other Leadership roles have included serving as 1st Vice
President of the Sarasota County Branch NAACP, Member of
United Way of Sarasota County Boards of Directors, Success
by 6 Leadership Council,
and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University of Sarasota
County. In addition Ms. Bradley has participated in several
community leader development programs.
Ms. Bradley is a skilled facilitator who has led a variety
of seminars, trainings and workshops on topics of leadership,
diversity, college preparation, interracial/intercultural
understanding and gender. Some presentation titles have included
Hoodwinked and Bamboozled: Minority
Images on Campus, Creating a Place at the Table, Women in
Leadership and Black Normal
School and the Rural Teaching Supply. Her
current research areas explore the various experiences of
Blacks in Education with special focus on Black institutions
of higher education (HBCUs).
