About Us

The Office of the Academic Vice President is responsible for the coordination of programs, policies, funding, and the assessment of the performance of all departments and centers within the Academic Division of the College. It is responsible for the departments of instruction; the instruction of the student body; the recruitment, hiring, workload, and performance review of the teaching faculty; all matters pertaining to the effectiveness and well-being of the faculty; and the maintenance and review of the curriculum. In addition, the office provides oversight for the General Education Program, the advising program, and enrollment management.

Christa Dickerson   Christa Dickerson

Christa Dickerson is from Hueytown, Alabama.  She is an Agriculture and Natural Resources major specializing in pre-vet.  After Berea she plans to return home to pursue veterinary medicine with a focus on horses. In her spare time, Christa likes to knit or draw.

     
Sarah Leeper   Sarah Leeper

Sarah Leeper is from Tennessee, but her hometown is in Georgia.  She is a senior Child Development major and hopes to pursue her dream of owning a child care center. In her rare free time she enjoys watching movies with her son.  She's worked in the Academic Vice President's office for a year, and cherishes the people she is surrounded by.

Cody Vaughn is a sophomore from Nashville, Tennessee.  He is majoring in mathematics & economics with a concentration in methods and modeling.  He plans to pursue a Ph.D. in economics upon graduating from Berea College.
