KIAC Champions Again!

For the seventh year in a row and the 10th time in 11 years, our men’s Cross Country team will represent Berea College and the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference at the NAIA National Championships. The men dominated the conference meet Saturday, claiming 7 of the top 10 finishing spots, including top runner Austin Houchens, who was later named KIAC Runner of the Year. The team placed four runners on the All-Conference team (Austin Houchens, Darryll Patrick, Scott Kenney and Jakub Lonsky). These four men will be joined by teammates Jarret Blankenship, Jeffrey Johnson, and Tarrance O’Connor, as well as women’s qualifier Shaina Mason, next week in Vancouver, Washington. Congratulations to Coach Mike Johnson (KIAC Coach of the Year – AGAIN!) and his teams for their great performances and for being such great representatives of Berea College!
