Catron had a batting average of .600 (6-10) for the week in a pair of doubleheaders versus St. Catharine’s and conference opponent Brescia University. She scored four runs with three doubles, one homerun, five RBI’s and three walks on the week. The softball team will be back in action on March 20th when they travel to Union College.
Moore earned the honors on the strength of a 3-5 game vs. NCAA Division I opponent Tennessee Tech University, a game in which the Mountaineers fell just a few runs short in an 8-5 loss. Moore finished fifth in the nation last year in NAIA batting average (.473) and led the team with 10 homeruns and 43 RBI. The baseball team will be busy over spring break, hosting UC-Clermont on Saturday at 2:00 PM and Eureka College next Tuesday at 1:00 PM before heading to PRP High School (Louisville, KY) for a pre-conference tournament. The Mountaineers will play five games during the four day tournament.
Complete schedules for the softball and baseball teams, as well as all spring sports, can be found on the KIAC conference site.
