Donate Your Old Cell Phones

The Berea College Athletic Department is partnering with the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville as part of their Global Education and Charitable Fund Cell Phone Recycling Program. If you have an unused cell phone (working or non-working condition is acceptable) and would like to donate it to this fund, please drop the phone by the Seabury Center Office (2nd floor of the complex) sometime before 5:00 PM this Friday, January 14th. Our men’s basketball team will be visiting the Center as invited guests on Monday, January 17th, and will present our donation at that time.
Information about the Ali Center’s program can be found here, but essentially all usable phones will be wiped of their memory, given a new face and accessories, then shipped to third world countries. Unusable phones are broken down into individual components and recycled.
