How has your degree served you professionally? / Why Appalachian Studies?
“For me, my professional life and personal life come very close to connecting in many ways. Professionally, my degree has assisted me in finding some jobs and getting a few fiddling gigs. But my fiddle is a big part of my personal life, and all of those people who know me as a fiddler really appreciate the fact that I went to school in an area that ties so closely with my personal past with the fiddle.”
