Search for New Director Underway

President Larry Shinn recently announced that Jeanne Hibberd will be stepping down as director of the Appalachian Fund, a position she has held since January 2004. Jeanne has accepted a position as development director with the Hindman Settlement School in Hindman, Kentucky. Starting in October, she can be reached at jmhibberd@hindmansettlement.org.

A search for a new director is currently underway. The Appalachian Fund director is a part-time position which is combined with another position called Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship for the Public Good (EPG) Program.

During the interim, President Shinn announced that Linda Cope, who works in the Berea College development office, will be managing the day-to-day business of the Fund. She can be reached at 859-985-3022 or linda_cope@berea.edu . (September 2005)
