Alumni Service Initiative

Purpose

The Office of Alumni Relations works collaboratively with CELTS (Center for Excellence in Learning through Service) to provide opportunities for alumni to give back to their communities through organized service projects. We hope to continue our tradition of learning, labor, and service even after we graduate from Berea!

If you have an idea for a project or are interested in leading a service project in your community, please contact Jacqui Greene, '93, Coordinator of Alumni Events, at (866) 804-0591 or .

50th House Project with Habitat for Humanity, Berea, KY

For seven days in September, (September 18-25, 2004) Berea College alumni joined forces with the Madison County affiliate of Habitat for Humanity to build two houses on Scaffold Cane Road in Berea. It was a fun and rewarding opportunity for Berea College alumni to continue Berea’s legacy of service and come together to contribute to their communities.

Berea College alumni Ashley Morgan, ’93, and Michael Wallace, '89, served as Team Leaders for both houses!
