General
guidelines
While we do our best to print all class notes as written,
there will always be a need to edit due to space limitations, appropriate
use
of language, and repetition of content. Please keep the following
in mind before you submit your class note.
- Class notes will only be
accepted from the alumnus that the class note is written about
(except for passages).
- If you are informing us of a passage, please
make every effort to also forward the obituary to us at
.
- While
announcements of marriages and births will be printed, announcements
of engagements or pregnancies will not be printed.
- Contact information
such as telephone numbers, addresses, or e-mail addresses will
not be printed.
Photograph submission guidelines:
Because we often receive photos
of a low resolution not suitable for printing, we offer the below
guidelines to help ensure that
photos can be included and so that we can identify them properly.
- Paper
copies of photographs will not be returned. Please write your
full name and class year on the back of the photo.
- Electronic
photos
should preferably be no less that 300 DPI. However, many digital
cameras shoot at 72 DPI, which can often be acceptable
provided the image submitted is at least four inches square, preferably
larger. Acceptable formats are: JPG, TIF or EPS.
- Give the photo
document a descriptive title with the name(s) of at least the
key person or people pictured in it.
- Send photos only as attachments,
not in the body of the Word document containing the text for
the class notes.
- Always provide captions for each photo at the
end of the text for the class notes. They can be as simple as
the name(s) of those
pictured in the photo.
- Photos of children should also include the parent alumnus.
