Service and Leadership
At Berea, we give our students more because we want to help them reach their potential. In turn, our students learn the importance of serving those around them.
Service is a way of life at Berea. From our student-led Habitat for Humanity team to involvement in Big Brothers / Big Sisters programs, students, faculty, and staff find ways to give something back. In fact, Berea has been recognized as one of the top schools in the nation for service-learning. If you’re looking for a way to get involved, our Center for Excellence in Learning Through Service (CELTS) can provide you with multiple service opportunities.
You’ll also find ample opportunities to hone your leadership skills. Through our clubs and organizations, such as the Student Government Association (SGA), you can gain valuable experience that will translate directly into career, graduate, and professional school skills.
We’ll help you sharpen your abilities and understand the importance of using them for the greater good—because, at Berea, we believe everyone has something to give.
