I came to Berea from Ronceverte in Greenbrier County, West Virginia and graduated in 1967 with a major in Psychology. I then went to West Virginia University where I earned a Master’s Degree in German and taught in that department for one year. I then spent a year teaching at a Gymnasium (secondary school) in Varel, Germany. The following year, I took what I thought would be a one-year appointment in the Admissions Office at Berea College and have been here ever since. In the early years, I spent most of the time recruiting in my native West Virginia, but then spent over 20 years working in Eastern Kentucky. Since 2003, however, I have once again been working in West Virginia, and have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to become re-acquainted with my beloved Mountain State and to help young people throughout the state discover the wealth of educational opportunities Berea College continues to provide. If you would like to contact me, you may call the Admissions Office at 1-800-326-5948, or you may email me directly at . I look forward to assisting you in discovering how Berea College may be the place for you. |
