The Academic Program Council (APC) has approved the following transfer equivalencies for General Education Program requirements. These transfer credits are designed to assure that students transferring credit are not placed at a disadvantage with respect to the aims, content, or skill development emphasized in Berea’s General Education curriculum. For purposes of this document, a requirement is met if at least 3 semester hours (sh) or 4.5 quarter hours (qh) of credit are transferred, unless specified otherwise. Where feasible, combinations of courses meeting the same requirement, e.g., 3 qh each of General Psychology and Introduction to Sociology, may be combined. [See Advanced Placement under the Testing section for more information.]
