While the College does not want students to specialize too soon, if an advisee has chosen a desired major, especially those that require students to follow a strict course sequencing schedule in order to complete the program in eight terms, s/he should be encouraged to read and follow the advice in the “Exploring the Major” or similar recommendations under the minor program description in the Catalog. Continuing students also can use the “What If” tool in the BONd Degree Evaluation program at www.berea.edu/bond to learn more about how current and previous course work will apply to a particular major or minor.
