Danforth Creative Effort Prize

Danforth Creative Effort Prizes have been awarded for many years from gifts provided by Mr. William H. Danforth for creative ideals in some field of labor at Berea College. The ideas must be original, tried in the program, and save more money than they cost. These prizes honor students whose products of imagination and effort have importance and impact beyond the worker’s span of time at Berea.

MASEA Student Employee of the Year

This award is given to a student nominated by there supervisor, who shows characteristics in the following areas; reliability, quality of work, initiative, professionalism, and uniqueness of contribution. The students who wins this award is nominated by Berea College for the MASEA Student Employee of the Year.

Hack-a-thon

Hackathons are an opportunity for students to work on a problem or idea that generally take shape in the form of web apps, mobile apps, and other software projects. Hackathons typically are a 24-hour event where programmers must have a finished project at the end of the 24 hours.
