Berea College is accredited in its awarding of baccalaureate degrees by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur GA 30033-4097; phone (404) 679-4500.

Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
The College also is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for the preparation of nurses and the Nursing Program has full approval status from the Kentucky Board of Nursing.

National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education
In addition, the College is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) for the preparation of elementary, middle, and secondary school teachers with the bachelor’s degree as the highest degree approved.
