Before “Get Moving Berea College” starts:
- Recruit three other people to be on your team; only spouses & significant
others of faculty/staff may participate
- Complete
your team’s registration form no later than Thursday,
September 14th
- Explain the individual reporting log to your teammates
(save it onto the desktop of their laptops & record steps
daily)
- Explain to your team members how to record their steps
on their individual logs
- As captain, you will be responsible
for totaling your team’s
steps
- Every Sunday you will be sent a survey with two questions
providing the information calculated on your Captain’s
Log
- Your team’s name
- Your team’s total steps
for that week
- At the end
of the day each Monday, enter your team totals onto the survey & submit
- Weekly results will be posted here as
well as in the Outlook public folder, Get Moving Berea College
- Weekly giveaways will
be awarded to the best stepping Independent, Staff/Faculty,
and Club/Organization teams as well as the top
individual and retiree participant; no team nor individual
may qualify for back to back weekly giveaways.
- Insure that
each team member understands how to attach & use
the safety strap
- Attach the clip end to your pedometer & when
wearing your pedometer, clip the other end to a piece of your
clothing.
If
your pedometer should fall off, the safety strap will hopefully
prevent losing your pedometer altogether.
Every Week, Every Monday:
- Collect each team members total steps for the past week
- Using the calculations from your Captain’s Log, complete
the two question survey by the end of the day each Monday
- Successful completion automatically drops your survey into
survey package being used for “Get Moving Berea College”
