people.

Mountain Folk Festival
Friday March 19 and Saturday March 20
Who?
Young Dancers from 4th grade through high school who come in dance groups from their school or other group, having learned the required dances, accompanied by their dance leader/teacher and chaperones.
What?
The Festival starts on Friday morning and goes through Saturday night at 9:30, with an informal afterparty. Dance classes and practices last all day, with breaks for meals. The whole festival registration costs $25 per dancer. T-shirts are available by pre-order for $6. There is an optional $5 spaghetti supper to raise funds for the local school-age dance group which tours internationally. Groups stay in local motels which they arrange themselves with our assistance.
Where?
Most activities are held in Seabury Center or close by, on Berea College campus.
When?
Friday and Saturday, March 19-20, 2010.
Why?
To educate the next generation of dancers to the joy of dance and carrying on a 74-year tradition of folk dance for young people at Berea College.
