The Berea College Art & Art History Program is located
in the Rogers and Traylor buildings on the corner of US 25 North
and Ellipse Street. The program offers students degree opportunities
in the areas of studio art and art history.
Studio and classroom space including drawing, painting, design,
fibers, and printmaking are provided in Traylor and Rogers. Ceramics
and sculpture studios are located in nearby campus buildings. Other
features include an auditorium, permanent art collection
and gallery exhibition spaces.
Students take advantage of the many
special opportunities that Berea provides such as program
trips, scholarships and internships. It is the goal of the Art
& Art History Program to provide students with a fundamental knowledge of
the art of the past and a working knowledge of the processes and
possibilities of art in the present.
