Appalachian Center Dinner on the Grounds
The first Loyal Jones Appalachian Center Dinner on the Grounds kicked off on September 6th in the Appalachian Center Gallery. Novelist and NEH Chair Silas House read selected excerpts from some of his published novels to the audience. He was joined by former CELTS employee Donovan Cain with his daughter Abby Cain who played a musical program entitled “Pens and Picks: An Appalachian Sampler.” The lunch was a great success and the first of several to occur in the Loyal Jones Appalachian Center this year.
