Courses

Regional studies is the other side of the coin of globalization.

Appalachian Studies (APS) courses can help you learn more about the place in which you live, whether you're a native or a recent transplant.

Appalachian Studies can also serve as a model for exploring the roles of place, region, and local culture in today's world. Many APS courses are cross-listed, so they fit within many majors. Talk to Chad Berry, Director of Appalachian Studies, about how an APS course can further your educational goals.
