Admissions Counselor
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, I graduated from Berea in 2006 with a degree in Speech Communication. My labor position as a student was to work in the Admissions Office, and after I graduated, I got a job as a College, International and CareerStart Coordinator for Disney. For the next two years, I found myself speaking to young people about my experience at Berea College and realized it was where I wanted to be. Young adults need to be made aware of all that Berea has to offer.
One of the best experiences I had through Berea was a trip to Ghana made possible because I received financial support from the college. Berea has an excellent study abroad program, not to mention various clubs and organizations around campus. While attending Berea I was involved in the BSU (Black Student Union), BME (Black Music Ensemble), Campus Activities Board, the Orientation Team, House Council, Intramural sports and I also volunteered at a women’s shelter in Lexington.
As you consider Berea, I encourage you to visit the campus to see if it is the right college for you.
