The Great Commitments Relay took place March 31 through May 12, 2006 along 1,855 miles of Appalachia and the South as alumni and friends relayed a copy of the Great Commitments in a walk, run, bike, bus, and wheelchair goodwill tour.  To celebrate Berea’s 150 years of learning, labor, and service, participants toured six states and nearly fifty communities while raising awareness of Berea’s distinctive history and contributions to the world.

Along the route, members of the Relay Team reported on their progress, shared photos, and told stories from many of the communities they visited.  View the Relay Blog for information from the road.
